Baby Prison: Day 6
7:53 AM
Here we are 4wks later. I'm 25w4d and they have put me on hospital bed rest. The last ultrasound I had in the Doctors office on october 23rd showed that the cords were beginning to tangle and there was a "loop".
The next day they admitted me. They plan to keep me and monitoring me all day until I'm 32wks along then they will deliver me via cesarian. Unless the cords cause distress before then, then they will deliver me right away.
Yes, I'm going to go crazy in here.
But I know it's for the best for my baby boy's so I'm willing to do all I can.
Today is day #6 in what I like to call my own personal "Baby prison" haha!
They came in this morning and gave me a shot in my bottom, a steroid shot for the babies lungs. It helps clear the lungs incase they were to be born within the next week the lungs would be ready for air. It hurt like crazy! But I survived!
Now all we do is wait. Every day that goes by is a better chance my boys have. So I'm thankful for each one that passes.
The hardest part in all this is being away from my son Drake. Since we live about 2hrs from the hospital it's hard to get him here and work around his school schedule. Today is his fall harvest party he went as batman. He is the cutest little batman I've ever seen. I'm so thankful I have a amazing, loving husband who took time to go to his festival and be totally involved. I am truly blessed to have them both. After school his nana (my mom) will be bringing him to come visit. I can't wait to squish his face off!
:side note:
I wanted to say a thank you to all who have read my blog and wrote me emails/messages saying your praying for us. It means so much! I had no idea so many would read it and take interest. It's been very fun and a emotional release to get my heart aches and joys out on paper. (or virtual paper) Thanks again!
